Extra Seriously Injured on Set of ‘Transformers 3′

Indiana State Police say an extra at a “Transformers 3″ production site was seriously injured during the filming of a stunt.

Authorities say the “Transformers 3″ crew was filming late Wednesday in the Chicago suburb of Hammond, Ind., using several vehicles and drivers. Police say something went wrong and an object went through the windshield of a car, hitting the driver.

In a statement, police said the vehicle kept going for a mile before stopping.

Police did not release the driver’s name. The person was airlifted to a hospital.

“Transformers 3″ crews have been filming in the Chicago area all summer.

The movie stars Shia LaBeouf, Patrick Dempsey, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich and model Rosie Huntington-Whitely.

TI Arrested on Drug Charges

T.I. has been arrested on drugs charges.

The ‘Number One’ hitmaker and his singer wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle were taken into custody on Wednesday night (01.09.10) after police smelled marijuana coming from their car during a routine traffic stop in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Pope said: “Deputies smelled a strong odour of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A narcotics investigation ensued that resulted in the arrests.”

He added that the couple were “found to be in possession of a controlled substance.”

Bail was set for the star – whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr – and his wife at $10,000 each. Both were released at 4am this morning (02.09.10) and are due in court to answer the charges tomorrow (03.09.10).

T.I. – who married Tameka just five weeks ago – remains on probation following a 2008 federal conviction on illegal weapons charges. He spent seven months in prison, followed by 90 days in a halfway house before being released in March this year.

Although the terms of his sentence state that any kind of violation would result in more time behind bars, Deputy Jeff Gordon said that since T.I. was allowed to post bail on the drug charge, it did not appear that his probation from the federal charge would be affected by Wednesday night’s arrest.

Rick Astley, whose popular 1987 hit “Never Gonna Give You Up” has spawned a generation of Internet meme-age, has recorded a video for his first single in 17 years, “Lights Out.” Now, since the whole point of being Rickrolled is being tricked into watching “Never Gonna Give You Up,” pretending Rick Astley had a new song would be a perfect prank. But we are not children. We promise, “Lights Out” is a real song. Discussion after the video.

Perhaps the Chinese company Jealousy International is trying to win some coveted insensitivity award.

That’s the only reason we can imagine they might choose to launch their “Diana” line, featuring imagery of the late Princess Diana in lingerie, on the 13th anniversary of her death.

In the ad, a look-alike of the Princess of Wales appears in a bra and underwear, holding a cello and gazing upon a small child.
