Making for quite the midday spectacle, it was Yankee mania as a parade took place in lower Manhattan on Friday (November 6) to celebrate the New York Yankees winning their 27th World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Joining in on the fun, Alex Rodriguez and Jay-Z were in quite high spirts as they looked out at the crowd from atop of a float, waving to fans while showering them with ticker tape.

Meanwhile, former Mayor Rudy Guliani and his wife drove along in a car, passing by the fans who had climbed on top of sanitation trucks despite police warnings.

Continuing along were the rest of the Yankees team, with the likes of Derek Jeter, Hideki Matsui and Jorge Posada all involved in the festive festivities.
