Enjoying life in the Big Apple, Kate Hudson was spotted walking through Greenwich Village in New York City on Thursday (July 2).

Carrying a coffee and some shopping bags, the “Fool’s Gold” actress hid under an umbrella as following paparazzi snapped up shots.

The previous night, Miss Hudson was busy spending time with her latest beau - as she cautiously ran from photographers while arriving at Alex Rodriguez’s home.

Since the two started getting close, Kate has been in attendance at numerous Yankees games, recently watching as A-Rod hit his historic 564th home run this past Friday night.

“Kate was standing and clapping and cheering during the game, especially when A-Rod hit a homerun,” a source told People magazine. “She looked adorable and was so happy.”

All set for a trip out of town ahead of the holiday weekend, Ashley Greene was spotted leaving her apartment in Los Angeles on Thursday (July 2).

With her luggage and dog in tow, the Alice Cullen actress was joined by a gal pal as she loaded up into a car before being driven off.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Miss Greene revealed that when it comes to being beautiful, nothing can beat a positive attitude and optimistic outlook.

She explained, “I think a lot of what makes someone beautiful is how a person presents themselves. I was talking to someone the other day about how I find French women so beautiful… it’s something they possess inherently. I feel like when someone has a zest for life they come off vibrant and beautiful.”

Plugging away during a full day of filming, Robert Pattinson was doing his thing on the “Remember me” movie set in Washington Square Park on Thursday afternoon (July 2).

Changing up outfits after the morning’s shoot, the Edward Cullen hunk teamed up with co-star Emilie de Ravin while shooting a few bicycle scenes.

Meanwhile, Pattinson’s “ Twilight” co-star, Michael Welch, recently chatted with press about how the “New Moon” crew changed things up from the book to give Robert more camera time.

Welch tells, “They figured out a very clever way to get Edward back in the film much more than he is in the book. It’s more of, like, a hallucination kind of thing.”

Brad Pitt: Brokedown Biker

Not having the best of luck, Brad Pitt found himself in a sticky situation when his vintage motorcycle broke down in a residential area near the Franklin Village on Thursday (July 2).

Left with few other options, the “Fight Club” stud decided to bum a ride off the paparazzi while leaving his motorcycle on the street.

Meanwhile, much ado has been made following the decision to drop the film project “Moneyball” - which was to star Mr Pitt.

“The last-minute demise of a high-profile film project, especially one starring an A-list star like Brad Pitt is Hollywood’s equivalent of a bridge collapse,” said Michael Cieply in The New York Times.

The choice to end the project was made by studio execs who were worried the flick would be too much of an “experimental” project.

In London promoting just a few days ago, Depp told press that, while he doesn’t like the attention, he has come to accept premieres as part of the job.

“This is a public event where people come to say thank you, and I say thank you, which is something I appreciate on a grand level,” he said.

“But when you’re wandering around with your kiddies and people start taking photos of them and your photo, it’s a different thing.”

Tila Tequila: Fighting for Gay Military Rights

Posted by The Gossip Girls at (c) gossipgirls.com on July 2nd, 2009

Standing up for what she believes in, MTV’s Tila Tequila has told President Barack Obama that he needs to repeal the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy on gays.

In a blog that Tequila wrote, she tells the story of Dan Choi, “a hero to many of us in the human rights movement,” who was kicked out of the Army after publically announcing that he was homosexual.

“Being an openly bisexual woman myself and having a lot of close gay friends, I have always HATED that policy,” Tila tells.

The legislation was instituted by former president, Bill Clinton, in a compromise over his position on gays in the military - which satisfied few on either side of the issue.

Tequila has made the scene looking sexy for photo shoots for Stuff and Maxim and was Playboy’s first Asian Cyber Girl of the Month. She also managed to set the record on MySpace for having the most friends. The bisexual entertainer was on MTV’s “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila” and gave men and women the chance to win her heart over.

“We are here, we are queer, and it’s about time that the military gets used to it!!!  Discrimination is so 2000,” she wrote.

“And if the President doesn’t listen, he’ll feel the wrath of 3,833,688 of Tequila’s closest MySpace friends!”

Posted by The Gossip Girls at (c) gossipgirls.com on July 2nd, 2009

Busily continuing along with her filming duties, Nicole Kidman was spotted on the set of “Rabbit Hole” in New York City on Wednesday (July 2).

Keeping dry under an umbrella, the “Moulin Rouge” actress jumped straight into filming scenes following a long day of work the previous afternoon.

And while she’s currently tied up with her acting duties, it’s no secret that Nicole loves her fair share of seaside relaxation.

Taking every precaution to keep a fine complexion, country singer Miranda Lambert recently dished the big skin care tip she got from Nicole during an interview with OK! magazine, saying, “I use sunscreen every day – SPF 85. I tan a lot but not on my face. I heard that from Nicole Kidman.”

On a side note, Nicole was also recently listed as the top-earning Aussie actress - placing eight overall with a take-home pay of $15 million.

Barack Obama Reacts to Michael Jackson’s Death

Posted by The Gossip Girls at (c) gossipgirls.com on July 2nd, 2009

The world has been reeling for the past week ever since Michael Jackson passed away, and President Barack Obama offered his thoughts about the loss today.

Speaking of the “Beat It” singer’s impact on the world of popular culture, Obama said that Jackson “will go down in history as one of our greatest entertainers.”

On the other side of the coin, though, the President also made reference to Michael’s “tragic and in many ways sad personal life.”

The fact that Barack Obama has waited an entire week to comment on Jackson’s death has stirred up some controversy amongst his supporters, especially in African American circles, though the President brushed off the criticism by telling AP White House correspondent Jennifer Loven, “Look, you’re the first person who’s actually asked me about it.”
