With all the hoopla around Michael Jackson’s shocking death this week, one of the things that has actually gotten to this hardened gossip hound was Lisa Marie Presley’s blog post about their married life together, and how she tried to save him. Here’s an excerpt:

On dying like Elvis, Lisa’s dad

At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, “I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did.”

On their married life

Our relationship was not “a sham” as is being reported in the press. It was an unusual relationship yes, where two unusual people who did not live or know a “Normal life” found a connection, perhaps with some suspect timing on his part. Nonetheless, I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much.

On Michael’s addictions and trying to help him

He was an incredibly dynamic force and power that was not to be underestimated.
When he used it for something good, It was the best and when he used it for something bad, It was really, REALLY bad.

Mediocrity was not a concept that would even for a second enter Michael Jackson’s being or actions.

I became very ill and emotionally/ spiritually exhausted in my quest to save him from certain self-destructive behavior and from the awful vampires and leeches he would always manage to magnetize around him.

On the similarities between MJ’s and Elvis’s death

As I sit here overwhelmed with sadness, reflection and confusion at what was my biggest failure to date, watching on the news almost play by play The exact Scenario I saw happen on August 16th, 1977 happening again right now with Michael (A sight I never wanted to see again) just as he predicted, I am truly, truly gutted.

This honestly was probably the most she’s ever spoken about her marriage to Michael; there was always SO MUCH speculation, rumors, etc., and even though I find it very hard to believe that they had anything approaching a normal relationnship, it’s interesting to hear how she did try to help him.

HOWEVER, come on, we can’t hear about the CrazyTown stuff? Seriously, I want some dirt! Did he really have a skeleton of the Elephant Man? Did he really sleep in a hyperbaric chamber? What was up with him grabbing his goodies in all his videos? And so on. Come on, you know you want to know - don’t deny it!

Showing off one of the stranger hairstyles to be seen in recent memory, Lady Gaga ventured out in Manchester, United Kingdon on Monday (June 29).

The “Poker Face” singer was visiting volunteers in the Orange Rock Corps scheme, donning a hairdo fashioned in the shape of a giant button.

Meanwhile, GaGa recently refused to address rumors that one of the members of the Pussycat Dolls came onto her.

“I don’t like to kiss and tell, the girls and I are very close!” she tells. “I get along with them all really well. They are so nice and very sweet and I am very grateful to them because they have taken me all around the world and a lot of people found out about me thanks to those girls so I really can’t say. I haven’t had a bad moment with any of them.”

In the continuing saga of Michael Jackson’s death, a press conference was held earlier today (June 29) outside of the Jackson family home in Encino, CA, where both Reverend Al Sharpton and Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, said a few words.

The PR event began with Reverend Al Sharpto, who said, “The entire Jackson family have really been expressing how gratified they are about the outpouring support from around the world for the love of Michael and love of his family.”

Following, Joe Jackson told reporters that the second autopsy is under way, but he expects results soon and the county coroner conducted an autopsy on Friday but has deferred a decision on the cause of death.

And when asked if MJ’s body will be buried at the Neverland ranch, Joe replied, “That’s not true.”

Continuing on with their promotional duties, Johnny Depp and Marion Cotillard hit up the “Public Enemies” premiere in London, England today (June 29).

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star sported his usual hairstyle and tinted-glasses, along with a pin-striped suit as he sauntered down the red carpet while Miss Cotillard looked stunning in a sexy red Vivienne Westwood dress

“Public Enemies” is hitting theaters this Wednesday (July 1) and in a recent interview, Mr Depp stated that he has no plans on watching the film, saying, “I prefer to stay as ignorant as possible about my work and anybody else’s work in movies. “

He continued, “Like, for example, as much as I want to see what Michael Mann did with this film and what Christian [Bale] and Marion [Cotillard] put on the screen in their performances, it’ll probably be a while before I can bring myself to take a look at it because then I would start having regrets.”

Looking to be in a great mood earlier today (June 29), Robert Pattinson was spotted for another day of work on the set of “Remember Me” in New York City.

The “Edward Cullen” actor smiled as he walked on scene, script in hand while sipping some coffee.

In other news, it seems the “Twilight” star may be taking after skilled actor, Johnny Depp, as both have admitted to not wanting to watch their own films.

Rob says, “It makes me feel sick. You imagine you look a certain way in your head, and when it looks even the slightest bit different from what you imagine, you go, ‘Rubbish!’”

Similarly, Depp has recently said that he has no interest in watching himself on film and is yet to see his new film, “Public Enemies.”

Getting in some swanky retail therapy, Bridget Marquardt was spotted coming out of the Bettie Page store on Hollywood Boulevard yesterday (June 28).

Joined by her boyfriend Nick Carpenter, the “Girls Next Door” hottie looked to be in good spirits, sporting a white floral print dress with white heels.

In related news, Bridget served as a bridesmaid at gal pal Kendra Wilkinson’s wedding to NFL stud Hank Baskett over the weekend.

Following the ceremony she told press, “Holly [Madison] cried like a faucet and I held back tears.  I’m usually the emotional one. The ceremony was short and sweet and bombarded by helicopters. [Kendra’s] dress was like a princess and I’m going to catch the bouquet!”

In the latest update of the custody arrangement for the late Michael Jackson’s children, the singer’s mother Katherine Jackson has been granted temporary guardianship.

According to a report, the Los Angeles Supreme Court granted the petition for Ms. Jackson until a hearing on August 3rd to determine of she’ll become the permanent guardian.

This means that all three children, Prince (12), Paris (11), and Prince Michael II (7) will be staying with Katherine at the family’s estate in Encino, California.

Over the weekend, Katherine was spotted out shopping for supplies to accommodate her grandchildren including toys, sleeping bags, and various other items.

She’s certainly keeping herself occupied since splitting from husband Peter Andre, and earlier today Katie Price was spotted in a variety of settings.

The lingerie-modeling British babe opted for a little horseback riding in Sussex, hitting up the stables with guy pal Andrew Gould.

Miss Price also tried out some boxing classes with her brother Daniel, perhaps finding a safe and healthy way to get rid of any divorce anxiousness.

And of course, no day of errand running would be complete without some retail therapy- Katie took her daughter Princess Tiaamii Crystal Esther Andre to Toys ‘R’ Us for some birthday shopping.

Showing her support for the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender population, Solange Knowles was spotted performing at the 39th Annual LGBT Pride Parade in San Francisco yesterday (June 28).

The “Sandcastle Disco” diva donned a multi-colored slim-fitting outfit and hit the stage at the festive shindig, chatting with the crowd in between songs.

In related news, Solange will be teaming up with her older sister Beyonce Knowles for a good cause next month.

The hitmaking sisters will perform a one-off benefit show in Minneapolis at the Target Center to raise money for the Charles & Phyllis Newman Foundation as well as their own charitable institution, The Survivor Foundation.

He’s been enjoying his summer hiatus from “Gossip Girl” but earlier today (June 29) Chace Crawford was spotted back on the job.

The CW stud looked nonchalant as he strolled down the New York City street sporting a pair of high fashion shades and a blue henley top with dark wash jeans and sneakers.

Over the weekend, Mr. Crawford kept himself plenty busy across the pond with a trip to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

In addition, Chace nursed his penchant for partying with a trip to the Glastonbury Music Festival, palling around with Prince William and checking out the killer lineup of performers.
